Bryan E. Hunter

Owner

Bryan E. Hunter, a native of Hobbsville, North Carolina is a minister, licensed Mortician, Husband, Father, and leader. With a dream at the tender age of 9 years old, Bryan knew that he wanted to be in the funeral service industry.  Now with over seventeen years of funeral service experience, Bryan has worked in every capacity within the mortuary field.  His humble beginnings started him as an apprentice with the late Mr. David Freeman and to date he has held positions ranging from embalmer to supervisor. He is extremely knowledgeable and is familiar with every facet and intricate detail of the funeral service business. Bryan is not afraid of hard work and his extensive knowledge of funeral service allows him to provide unrivaled care to all families. He has traveled extensively throughout the nation servicing families and funeral homes. With almost two decades in the funeral business, he has become highly respected in funeral service industry. 

Bryan began working in funeral service at the age of 16. Throughout the years he has always been deeply committed to educating the community on issues concerning funeral care. He has an incredible love and passion for providing exceptional care to all families during their most challenging times. 

Bryan is a proud graduate of Fayetteville Technical College, where he holds a degree in Mortuary Science. Not only is he a licensed embalmer and funeral director in the state of North Carolina but also holds an Embalming and funeral director licenses in Virginia, Maryland and Washington D.C. 

Bryan is not only committed to funeral service and his community but he is the proud husband to Mattea Hunter. Together they have two beautiful children, Zayah and Zachary.

Mattea Hunter

Owner

Mattea Hunter, a native Washingtonian, has been in the customer service industry for over 15 years.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades education from Bennett College where she served as Miss Bennett College 1999-2000.  She is a loving wife, compassionate mother and a lover of all people. Her commitment to serve people with the utmost respect and care has landed her positions with Fortune 500 companies.  Mattea served as a Lead trainer and customer care professional for the American Express Corporation.  She also served on the management team for Nordstrom where she managed over 60 employees and a budget over a million dollars.  Mattea is currently the proud owner of Pretty Please Artistry; a concierge make-up and hair business.

Her extensive experience in management, team building and customer care training makes her an asset to the funeral service business.  Mattea is most known and revered among her colleagues and peers for her compassion of others and dedication to helping develop dynamic leaders.

Mattea is not only the wife of Bryan Hunter but also an essential part of the Community of Hope Funeral Service family.  Her attention to detail and overwhelming sense of care allows you and your family to have a memorable experience and celebrate your love one’s life with dignity and respect.

In addition to being the proud wife of Bryan Hunter, she is the mother of two beautiful children, Zayah and Zachary.
