The staff of Community of Hope Funeral Service sends prayers of comfort to the family of the late Ms. Adeen E. Pope of Ahoskie, NC.
Adeen Evon Boone Pope, passionately known as “little sister,” was born August 8, 1954. She departed her life here on earth on September 5, 2018.
She was born to Lewis Boone, Jr. and Virginia Grant, who both proceeded her in death, as well as a grandson.
Adeen graduated from Ahoskie High School in Ahoskie, North Carolina. After which, she worked at Carolina Aluminum in Winton, NC. She would later meet and marry Douglas Pope and they would give birth to a daughter and son, Kimberly Pope of Ahoskie, NC and Douglas J. Pope of Harrisburg, PA.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her daughter Kimberly and son Jermain (Serrell), grandsons, Jordan and Brenden Dukes, granddaughters Ambrel Willliams (Chris), Nevaeh Bullett, sisters, Alicefaye Wilson London and Annette Futrell (Jackie) both of Ahoskie, NC, brothers, Lewis Alphonso Boone of Suffolk, VA, and Alvin Roye Boone of Lewiston, NC, and a sister-in-law Phyllis Pope of Ahoskie, NC. She also leaves aunt Alean B. Jacobs of Seaboard, NC, as well as her aunt Christine B. Warren of Murfreesboro, NC and Sarah Grant Outlaw of Philadelphia, PA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will take place on Wednesday September 12, 2018 at 1:00pm at Metropolitan Non-denominational Church. Her remains will lie in state from 12:00pm-1:00pm before the service. She will be laid to rest at the Boone Family in Murfreesboro, NC.
