Charlie O Elliott

Mr. Charlie O. Elliott, of Sunbury, NC was born on June 3, 1938 to the late William, Sr. and Sindell Elliott.  He departed this life on Thursday evening October 4, 2018.  He joined Welch's Chapel Church at a young age, and has always had a special love for family, traveling, fishing, and baseball.

He leaves to cherish his memories his three daughters: Tanya Riddick (Samuel) of Sunbury, NC; Terri Riddick of New York, Janet Smith of Elizabeth City, NC;  three brothers, Louis Elliott of Sunbury, NC, Ercel Elliott (Mabel) of Hobbsville, NC, and Leroy Elliott (Vencine) of Plainfield, NJ;  one sister, Helen Marie Jordan (Thomas).  He has seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  Preceding him in death was his brothers, James Elliott, and William Elliott Sr. and sisters Rosenell Nowell, Alice Surgeon, Betty Elliott, Mary Holley, and Wynona Elliott.  "Good time Charlie" will truly be missed.....

The family will receive friends of the community for a viewing and visitation on Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 3:00pm-7:00pm at the funeral home.  A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 12:00pm at Greater Welch Baptist Church 3520 Virginia Rd Tyner, NC 27980.  He will be laid to rest at Greater Welch church cemetery.
