Teric Moody

Teric Antwon Moody was born January 7, 1995 to Debbie Moody and Terrol Vann. On Thursday August 30, 2018 in Whaleyville, VA, God called our son home.

A native of Gates County, Teric attended Gates County Public Schools. He was employed at Tidewater Staffing of Suffolk, VA. Teric enjoyed racing, building race cars, and spending quality time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Ruby Moody (Gates) and Elrod Vann (Ahoskie, NC). 

He leaves to cherish his memories to his loving wife, Christina Ruddy Moody; three children: Christian, Ra’maujay, and Omarion (Eure, NC). His mother and father Debbie Moody (Gates, NC) and Terrol Vann (Ahoskie, NC); grandmother, Gloria Vann (Ahoskie, NC), four siblings, Terrol Vann, Jr., Trayvon Vann, Jaquastia Watford, and Tierra Jordan; one niece, Kaylee. He also leaves to  cherish his memories to his uncles: Robert Harrison (Mary) Gates, NC, Ryland Harrison (Linda) Smithfield, VA, and Elrod Vann Jr. (Wendy) Ahoskie NC, an aunt: Regina Vann (New Jersey) and a very special aunt and uncle, Angela and Thomas Walton (Gates, NC); mother-in-law, Cindy Lyons (Gatesville, NC); two brothers-in-law: Shane Lyons and Paul Ruddy, and a host of cousins and friends.

The immediate family will receive friends, family and the community on Saturday September 8, 2018 from 4:00p-7:00p at Community of Hope Funeral Service.  The celebration of life for Mr. Moody will take place on Sunday September 9, 2018 at The Upper Room Assembly at 2:00pm.  His final resting place will be at The Apostolic Holiness Church of Faith cemetery - 999 Sliver Spring Rd. Sunbury, NC
