June 17, 1945 ~ October 31, 2024 (age 79) 79 Years Old

Agnes Hall Obituary

Mother Agnes Boone Hall left her earthly home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 31, 2024.  Born on June 17, 1945, in Gatesville, North Carolina, to the late Willie and Catherine Boone (both deceased).  Mother Agnes loved the Lord, her family, and her church family. Mother Agnes accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age.  She joined and was baptized at Lebanon Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Gatesville, North Carolina. 

After graduating from Central High School, Gatesville, NC, she married the love of life George E. Hall, Sr.  To this union two boys were born, George, Jr. and Antowin Hall.  Mother Agnes raised her children within the church and taught them that all things were possible through Jesus Christ.

Mother Agnes traveled with her husband in the military to Germany where Antowin was born. Later they moved to Fort Bragg, Fayetteville, North Carolina.  After George Sr. was honorably discharged from the Army, Mother Agnes returned home to Gatesville, North Carolina with her family and lived until her death.

Mother Agnes worked various jobs in Gates County.  She retired from Gates County Community Center (Gates County Schools) where she worked as a secretary for nearly 30 years.  Her radiant smile, kindness, and willingness to help others is remembered by many.

She joined Apostolic Holiness Church under the leadership of Bishop Robert Knight.  She had many roles within the church, Missionary, Evangelist and Mother.  She was a faithful member for over 40 years until her health began to decline.

Mother Agnes was predeceased by her parents, Willie and Catherine Boone, sisters, Sallie B. Hite, Leora Ferguson, Geneva Ruffin, Elizabeth Moore, Dorothy Jean Grice and Sister-In-Law Idola Hyman.  Mother Agnes leaves to cherish her memories, Brother-In-Law Arthur Hall (Betty), her loving children George, Jr.  (Chenita), Antowin (Erica), Special daughter Gladys Rascoe; five grandchildren Kendrick (Whitney), Ashley, Krystal, Raheem and Terry.  Two great grandchildren Ebony and Kendrick, Jr., Uncle and Aunt Tom and Julia Faye Walton, Special nieces Frances Askew, Linda Hall, Nikki Lopez and Sharion Boone. Special nephew Rev. Kenneth Jerrod Grice, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  

 

A celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday November 9, 2024, 11am at New Middle Swamp Baptist Church.

Final resting place will be at the G. Hall Home Cemetery in Gates, NC.
