Angela Walton

Angela M. Walton was born August 9, 1962 in Gates, NC. She departed this life on February 13, 2021 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville NC, with her family at her side.

She was preceded in death by her mother Ruby J. Moody, her grandson, Ta'Quan Harrison, a nephew who was more like a son Teric Moody, and a host of aunts and uncles.

She attended Gates County Public Schools. Throughout her life she acquired jobs in different fields. She worked in various warehouses and in the home health field. Angela was a loving and caring woman. She truly loved her family and friends. She would do any and everything for her family. She was selfless, she would help others all while helping herself and going through her own health issues.

She leaves to cherish her memories,  a loving husband George Walton of the home; her dad Robert Harrison (Tina) Charlotte, NC; her children Anton Harrison (Charlotte, NC); Jessica Harrison (of the home); Jac’Quesha Harrison (Knightdale, NC); Samuel Roach (Andrea) Gatesville, NC; Fontella Hall (Suffolk, VA), and Darryl Howard (Tameka) Elizabeth City, NC; grandchildren; Tahj Melton (Greenville, NC); Tatyana Harrison (Lawrenceville, GA); Jakara Eley and Demia Hobbs (of the home); and Alvin Vinson III (Knightdale, NC); siblings, Debbie Moody (Gates, NC), Robert Harrison (Mary) Gates, NC; and Ryland Harrison (Linda) Windsor, VA, Nakea Harrison (Hayward, CA), and Carnell Harrison (Waterbury, CT) ; aunts Christine Hunter (Larry) Camp Springs, Maryland, Mary Boone (Suffolk, VA), Mary Parker (Hobbsville, NC), and Mary Carter (Sis) Virginia Beach,VA; a host of cousins and friends who she referred to as her brothers and sisters, especially Jacqueline Watford (Howard), and Keontay Gatling, a neighbor who was like a son to her, along with a host of loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive members of the community on Saturday February 20, 2021 from 3:00pm-6:00pm at the funeral home.  A graveside service will take place on Sunday February 21, 2021 at 12:00pm at the Apostolic Holiness Church of Faith.
