Beverly Ann Porter-Harvey
October 16, 1961—December 20, 2022
Hello there!
Since you are reading this, I passed away and I am with Jesus. This was something I knew was inevitable since I’ve been sick since 2009. I lived a full life. I was a loving wife, devoted daughter, loving sister, a spoiling aunt, and a loyal friend.
I was educated in Gates County Public Schools. I retired from the Hertford County School System. I loved Lifetime television, talking on the phone, and going shopping. I loved giving my nephews and nieces nicknames.
I joined Lebanon Grove Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. I was a member of the Usher Board and a faithful member until my health declined.
Though my time on earth has come to end, I hope my family and friends continue to push forward together. Everyday matters, so please make it count. Don’t cry because I’m gone, be happy to have known me.
My mother and biological father preceded me in death, so I leave to cherish my memories, my husband of 33 years, Glendon; Holly (pet); father, James Parker; four sisters, Sheila Bond; Debbie Hall (Lyman); Terry Porter; Kimberly Porter; two nephews raised by my mother, Rodney Porter (Breshell); Sheronde Porter (Tamara), five aunts, Louise Arline; Linda Parker; Evelyn Porter; Vivian Parker; Juanita Yarbrough, two uncles, McArthur Britt; Claudia Parker, mother-in-law, Mrs. Iristeen Harvey; three sisters-in-law, Maryann Harvey, Sadie Harvey, Pamela Harvey, three brothers-in-law, Andrew Harvey; Tracy Harvey; George Harvey, two stepsisters, Tammy Taylor; Paulette Parker; one stepbrother, Frankie Taylor, four godchildren who I spoiled, Randy Hall; Elijah Bond; Rakheem Hall; Jayla Porter, a host of great nieces and nephews. Last, I would like to thank my cousins and loyal friends for their support during my lifetime.
A viewing and visitation will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday December 27, 2022, from 3pm-6pm.
A funeral service to celebrate her beautiful life will take place on Wednesday December 28, 2022, 12 noon at Lebanon Grove Baptist Church Gatesville, NC.
Final resting place will be at the Church Cemetery.
