Bobby "BJ" Riddick, Jr., was born on June 30, 1980, and peacefully transitioned on November 22, 2025. A native of Gates County, North Carolina, BJ was born and raised in the close-knit community he always considered home. For the past 23 years, he made his residence in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he built a life filled with friendship, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
BJ was truly the life of the party. His warm spirit, infectious smile, and playful sense of humor made him the center of joy wherever he went. A natural jokester, he had a gift for lifting spirits, and bringing people together. His kindness, friendliness, and genuine love for others touched countless lives.
In Allentown, his welcoming nature earned him the nickname "The Mayor", a title given with affection by those who admired how effortlessly he connected with everyone he met. BJ never met a stranger, just a friend he hadn't gotten to know yet.
Above all, BJ loved his family deeply. He cherished every moment spent with those he held dear, and his presence brought warmth and light into the lives of many.
BJ leaves to cherish his wonderful memories, his wife Jannette Vazquez; his daughters: Alexis "Lexx" Riddick, and Veronica "Roni" Riddick; his bonus children Mykil Vazquez, Francisco "Kyon" Benitez, and Amanda Vazquez; grandson Legend Garner; bonus grandchildren Aryana Vazquez, Mykil Vazquez, Jr., Francisco Benitez, Jr., Julian Lozada, Jayviel Lozada, Rueben Vazquez; parents: Bobby Riddick (Rosa Riddick) and Linda F. Riddick, siblings: Ivy Riddick (Gregory Riddick), Aundray Riddick, Sr (Tameka Riddick), Hope Melton (Ronald Melton, Jr.), Crystal Evans (Kelsey Evans, Sr.); 6 nieces, and 9 nephews.
BJ's legacy of love, laughter, and community will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and the many friends who were blessed to know him.
A viewing and visitation will take place on Wednesday December 3, 2025, from 4pm to 7pm at the funeral home.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday December 4, 2025, 1pm at Upper Room Church.
Final resting place will be at the Boone Family Cemetery.
Lastly, we would be honored if you would leave a short comment of how "BJ" impacted your life, words that best describe him, or your favorite memory of BJ in the condolence section.
