Clementine Cherry was born on May 5, 1964 to the late Ella Cherry and William Cherry, Sr. She departed her earthly life on Monday, August 3, 2021 in Ahoskie, NC.
Clementine was reared by her foster mother, Ruby Roberts who raised her in Suffolk, Va. She was educated in the Suffolk Public School System .
In 1999, Clementine moved to Gates County with her three children. Before her health failed, Clementine was employed for a number of years with Smithfield Packing and Nansemond Pointe Nursing Home.
Clementine was a member of Damascus Road Worship Center, Eure, NC under the leadership of Pastor Jeff Benthall.
In 2010, Clementine relocated to Ahoskie, NC. She loved her family and her grandchildren. Her hobbies included cooking, dancing, and fishing.
Clementine leaves precious memories to her three children: Quavette Cherry-Abram (Christopher), Bradley Cherry (Monique), and Denise Cherry; six grandchildren: Demetrius Williams, Jr., Kyaira Williams, Tyaira Williams, Brandon Cherry, Trinity Cherry, and Bralynn Cherry; two brothers: Mark Roberts and William June Cherry; nine sisters: Amy Roberts, Dr. Brenda Adkins (John), Christine Willoughby, Ruth Denise Cherry, Vanessa Eure, Tonya Cherry, Sonya Cherry, Loretta Ann Eure and Loretta McKay Eure; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A viewing and visitation will take place Sunday, August 8, 2021 from 3-6pm at the funeral home.
A celebration of life will take place on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Upper Room Assembly Church, 807 Main Street, Gatesville, NC. Ms. Cherry's final resting place will be at Carver Memorial Cemetery, 2320 E Washington Street, Suffolk, Va.
