Cynthia J. Boone

Cynthia Juanita Boone, 53, was born on April 17, 1964 to the late Mrs. Ella Mae Boone and Mr. Arthur Boone in Newark, New Jersey. She departed this life on May 3, 2017.  When she was the age of one, her family moved to Corapeake, North Carolina. Cynthia spent most of her life in Gates County and was a proud 1982 graduate of Gates County High School. She was compassionate, caring, and loving to all she met. She loved God and God's people. She was never ashamed to demonstrate the love she had for God.

Cynthia studied Business Management and Business Administration at Tidewater Community College. She was employed at Old Dominion University for a number of years as an administrative assistant for the Facility Management Department.

She was a dedicated member of Zion Tabernacle Baptist Church. She served as an usher, in the youth department, assistant secretary of the church, and was instrumental in the coordination of the 1st Women's Conference. She was a willing worker and would do anything that she could do to assist in any area of ministry.

Cynthia leaves loving memories behind to her father, Arthur T. Boone, two children; Latoya Boone and Danyael Crocker,  siblings; Thomas Boone, Denise Scott (Cleveland); Brenda Boone, Barry Boone (Sineathia); Alvin Boone, George Griffin, Johnette Harris (Joe), Gloria Griffin, Sherry Reid (William), Charles Griffin, Michael Griffin (Gina) and Corey Griffin (Lisa); a goddaughter, Alisha Melton; sisters-in-law; Alfredia Godwin, Lisa Ventura, and Shanta Hall; 18 nieces and nephews, 8 great nieces and nephews, along with a host of cousins and friends.
