Daisy Brunson

Daisy Maetta Eure Brunson was born June 21, 1942 to the late Isaac L. and Daisy F. Eure. She departed her earthly life on Saturday, January 22, 2022. She was educated in the schools of Gates County and graduated from Central High School in 1960. After graduating she moved to New Jersey where she raised three of her children. While in New Jersey she met and married her late husband Morsit B. Brunson, and to that union, four more children were born.

Daisy loved showing the love of Jesus to mankind. She demonstrated this as she cared for a few special seniors in the county as well as being a child caregiver. Some of her hobbies included cooking, listening to gospel music, working in her yard and doing hair for family and friends which she also used as a time to  “talk about Jesus” and minister to people. Daisy was a faithful member of Lebanon Grove Missionary Baptist Church wherein she served in the capacity of a missionary and sang in the choir until her health began to fail, which prohibited her from regularly attending church. Daisy loved to worship God and share the good news of Jesus. She adored her church family, especially the Pastor and his family. 

 Daisy leaves to cherish her memories to seven children: Tangela Kelly (Tracy) of Gatesville, NC,  Irvin Hall (Fontella) of Suffolk,VA, Jerry Hall (John) of Alpharetta,GA, Pamela Brunson of the home, Mary Williams (Henry) of Lakeland,FL, Cherri Brunson of Gates, NC and Teresa Robinson (Roger) of Gatesville, NC; four stepchildren: Sylvia Ann Brunson of Montclair, NJ, Deborah Brunson of Newark, NJ, Brewer Brunson (Sabrina) of Montclair, NJ, and Keith Brunson (Shirley) of Newark, NJ; twelve grandchildren: Yolanda Slaughter (Jerrail),of Tampa, FL, Anthony Brunson of Greenville, NC, Thaddeus Kelly of Hampton, VA, Rajia Gilbreath (Tyler), of Lakeland, FL, Tomas Robinson of Charlotte, NC,  Naquasha Williams of Lakeland, FL, Deja Gainey of Washington, DC, Marquis Brunson of Salisbury, NC, Yasmene, Rochelle, Roger Jr. of Houma, LA, Kendal, Kendra, Kaniyah, and Zackery Hall of Suffolk, VA; twelve great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Mildred Melton of Gatesville, NC;,  four sisters-in-law: Mrs. Joyce Eure of Gatesville, NC,  Mrs. Thelma Eure of Plainfield, NJ,  Pastor Martha Evans and Mrs. Shirley Stocks, both of Fayetteville, NC; two special friends, Mrs. Eva Lee Parker of Gatesville, NC, and Pastor Katherine Waller-Mickens of Raleigh, NC. A special cousin Clifton “Poochie” Langston of Hollis Queens,NY along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. 
 

A viewing and visitation will be held on Friday January 28, 2022 from 3:00pm-6:00pm at the funeral home.  A celebration of life will take place on Saturday January 29, 2022 at 1:00pm at Lebanon Grove Baptist Church.  Ms. Brunson's final resting place will be at Lebanon Grove  Baptist Church Cemetery.
