Daisy Holley Obituary

Daisy “Louise” Jordan Holley was born April 29, 1941 in Gates County to the late Lonnie Jordan and Minnie Bell Brown. She peacefully departed this earthly life on February 28, 2024  surrounded by her loving family.

Louise entered into sacred matrimony with the late James “Tee” Holley on October 6, 1956. Their enduring union of 67 years brought forth four cherished children, in addition to an adopted son. She also took on the loving task of raising a dear niece.

Possessing a robust work ethic, she diligently labored to contribute to her family's well-being. Over the course of her life, she held positions at Al Sewing Factory in Suffolk, VA, Don Juan Sewing Factory in Hertford, NC, and ultimately at Dalure Fashions in Gatesville, NC.

Dedicated to her faith, she actively participated in Blanchard's Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Her devotion to God manifested through various roles, including serving as a deaconess, Mother of the Church, contributing to the Building Fund, and fulfilling responsibilities as a Missionary. Her love for the Lord was evident in her quietly affectionate personality. She was also a member of the Order of  Eastern Star.

Renowned for her fashion sense, Louise consistently exuded style. A connoisseur of clothing, shoes, handbags, and jewelry, her love for fashion was evident in her daily appearances.

In her earlier years, she found joy in crocheting. Additionally, her passion for home decor was showcased in the exquisite furniture and artwork that adorned her residence. Maintaining an immaculate home, the love and care she invested were evident upon entering the beauty of her living space.

Preceding Louise in death is her husband, James “Tee” Holley, four children: James, Reginald, Sr., Wallace Eugene, David Wayne and Patricia Annette.

Cherished memories will be shared by her son, Crandall Holley (Christina), 12 grandchildren: James Reginald Holley, Jr. (Gertrude), Eshimon Wayne Holley, Sr. (Lekisha), Yolanda Williams (Milton), Sheria Holley, Cameron Holley, Koran Holley, Kyla Holley, Omari Holley, Christian Holley, Cierra Lane, Marcus Holley, and Jaden Holley, 26 great grandchildren; six great great-grandchildren,  special sister, Doris Smallwood, special niece, Paula Walker (Charles), two brothers-in-law, Herman and Warren Holley,  sister-in-law, Doris J.
