David Hairston

David Edward Hairston of Greensboro, North Carolina departed this life on Sunday, December 10, 2017.  He was born on October 12, 1939 in Madison, North Carolina to the late Edward Joyce and Lillie Mae Hairston.  
 
Dave was educated in the North Carolina public school system.  He lived a full and well rounded life singing gospel music in Quartet Groups, playing the drums and tambourine.  He was a man of faith, loved God and loved God’s people.
 
Uncle Dave, as he was affectionately called,  relocated to Greensboro, North Carolina in 2003 and  became a faithful member of Evangel Fellowship  until his health declined.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ora Lee  Hairston and one grandson, Cyrus Demarcus  Hairston.
 
Uncle Dave is survived by his children Cyrus  Hairston of Charlotte, NC, Tyler Hairston of  Jacksonville, NC and Taylor Hairston of Summerville, SC; grand children Brayden L. Hairston of Nashville, TN, Taniya C. Hairston and TyRiq C. Hairston of  Charlotte, NC; one sister Mother Lonnie M. Hutton of Greensboro, NC; one uncle Limmie Hairston of  Greensboro, NC; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other family members and friends.
 

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday December 16, 2017 at Evangel Fellowship, Greensboro, NC at 12:00p
