Evonda Ashe Obituary

Evonda LaCrystal Ashe of Charlotte, North Carolina, formerly of Harrellsville, North Carolina, departed this life on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Atrium Health Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte, surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Evonda was born on December 13, 1983, to Shirley Ashe and the late Louis H. Ashe. At an early age, she became a devoted member of St. Paul Holiness Church in the Harrellsville/Cofield community, under the leadership of the late Bishop Willie M. Jones.

She was educated in the Hertford County School system and continued her studies at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, where she earned her nursing license. Evonda dedicated her career to caring for others and was most recently employed at Southminster in Charlotte. She also previously worked at Sharon Towers.

Evonda met her fiancé, Isaac Flynn, in Charlotte, where they built a life together. Their union was blessed with two children, Isaac Chance and Khloe Grace Flynn. She was a devoted mother who deeply loved her children. Her son, Isaac Chance, is currently a senior at North Carolina A&T State University, majoring in engineering, and her daughter, Khloe Grace, a bright and loving 8-year-old.

Evonda was known for her sweet spirit, kind heart, and loving nature. She had a warm presence that made everyone feel welcome. Her joyful personality, radiant smile, and infectious laughter left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching Lifetime movies, shopping, and taking family vacations.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Travis Ashe and Sajid Ashe.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving fiancé, Isaac Flynn of Charlotte, NC; her children, Isaac Chance and Khloe Grace Flynn; and bonus son, Jadyn Flynn, all of Charlotte, NC. She is also survived by her mother, Shirley Ashe of Harrellsville, NC; her siblings, Trina A. Winston, Bruce Perry (Patty), Sharon Holloway (David), Louis Kenron Ashe, Shermeice Ashe, Shawanda Ashe, Aaron Ashe (Carla), Monique Ashe, Jarius Ashe, Darius Ashe, Jewelrico Ashe, and Angelnisha Ashe.

Evonda also leaves behind two special aunts, Direce Wilson and Joann Linzy; additional aunts, Carolyn Fields and Olivia Aldridge; uncles, Larry Sessoms (Patricia), Kenneth Sessoms, Rev. W. Robert Ashe (Gloria), Julius Ashe, and David Ashe (Kim); two special cousins, Tonya W. Perry and KyAsia Linzy Carter; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Evonda’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

A viewing and visitation will take place on Saturday May 9, 2026, at the funeral home from 3pm to 6pm.

Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday May 11, 2026, 1pm at Carpenter's Shop International Church.

Final resting place will be at Mt. Pleasant Church cemetery.
