Fannie Ruth Privott Jordan of Gatesville, NC was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She departed this earthly life on April 6, 2026.
Fannie was born in Chowan County on March 31, 1937, to the late Robert Edward Privott and Lillie Reid Privott. She was one of eight children: Edward Privott, Robert Privott, Jr., Marion Stallings, Betty Jones, Percy Privott, John Privott and Ann Elizabeth Privott.
Fannie joined White Oak Baptist Church at an early age. She later moved her membership to Blanchard's Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Fannie was preceded in death by her son, Michael Tracy Nowell; her granddaughter, Mikayla Nowell; three brothers: Edward, Robert, John; and two sisters: Marion and Ann Elizabeth.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her husband, Whalyn Jordan; son, Floyd Jordan (Annette); three granddaughters: Crystal Parker (Jason), Courtnay Jordan and Candra Jordan; all of Hobbsville, NC; five great-grandchildren: Jasmine, Jaden, Jordan, Aiden and Ashton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Special recognition to her niece, Belinda Stallings Williams; and countless others who provided care along the way.
A viewing and visitation will take place on Sunday April 12, 2026, at the funeral home from 4pm to 7pm.
A celebration of life service will be held on Monday April 13, 2026, 11am at Blanchard's Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Final resting place for Mrs. Jordan will be at the Blanchard's Grove Church Cemetery.
