FRANK D. ALEXANDER, JR.

“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints” - Psalms 116:15
Mr. Frank (Jamaica) Alexander was born July 8, 1951 to the late Frank and Arvella Alexander in Brooklyn. NY. Frank was the second of four children born to this union and the first son. He transitioned from this life into eternal rest during the evening hours of April 2, 2017 with his family close by his side.
As a young man, Frank attended the school systems of Brooklyn and Queens, NY and graduated in 1969. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at an early age and served in the music ministry at Holy Nazarene Pentecostal Church. One year after graduating high school, Frank enlisted in the United States Air Force and served from 1970 through 1974. Upon his return he met and married Carla Russell in 1974, this union produced their daughter Tamika, unfortunately this union ended in 1984. Shortly after, he accepted a position as an auditor at the Internal Revenue Service. In 1989, he met and married Deborah Williams and this union produced his son Frank Alexander III.
In 1994, after much prayer and intervention from his family, Frank relocated to Graham, NC where he entered the Malachi House and began his journey to restoration. Shortly after, he joined Evangel Fellowship Church of God in Christ. Frank thrived under the leadership and teachings of Pastor Otis Lockett and the Malachi House program. He remained connected to this program for more than 15 years, serving in different capacities after he was restored.
Frank loved the Lord and he loved people. His greatest joy was helping his family and friends and encouraging people in the Word of God. Frank had a spirit of laughter and loved to sit around with his family and friends and reminisce on humorous times that we had shared.
He was also full of compassion, always willing to help and support in any way he could. He became a positive role model to the men in his family and his brothers at the Malachi House demonstrating the qualities and roles of an exceptional Father, Friend and Leader.
So many benefited from his love and care, as it was demonstrated through his sharing of wisdom, displays of affection, and his great sense of humor that he was referred to by many as “Friend”.
Frank will forever remain in the hearts of those that love him: his children Tamika (Lee) Byrd, Bayshore, NY; Frank Alexander III, Bronx, NY; one brother Robert Derrick (LaVerne) Alexander, Greensboro, NC; three sisters Christine Jones, Vienna, VA; Carolyn Jones, Tarpin Springs, FL; Deborah (Kenneth) Washington, Hanover, MD; Three granddaughters Deanna Wallace, Tamara Wallace and Alyssa Wallace, Babylon NY; eight nephews Reuel (Demetrius) Williams, Severn, MD; Robert DJ Alexander, Greensboro, NC; Kenneth (Alyse) Washington, Greensboro, NC; Walter (Jennifer) Jones, Coto de Caza, CA; Michael (Joan) Jones, Alexandria, VA; Troy Knight, Queens, NY; Joseph Knight, Queens, NY; four nieces, Franconia (Darrell) Carrington, Palm Harbor, FL; Katrina (Adrian) Alloway, Alpharetta, GA; Krystle Alexander, Greensboro, NC; Joi Alexander, Tallahassee, FL; one aunt Beatrice Hargrove, Suffolk, VA; and a host of grandneices, grandnephews, cousins and friends.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me-the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing.” - 2 Timothy 4:7-8 NLT
