Hilda J Figgs

Hilda Figgs was born on February 16, 1964 to Bernice Eason and the late Allen Hunter. She peacefully entered into Eternal rest on August 15, 2019.

Hilda joined Blanchard’s Grove Baptist Church at an early age and remained a member until her passing.

Hilda attended and graduated from Edenton-Chowan Public Schools and attended Winston Salem State University for a brief period of time. She was employed for approximately 15 years with FedEx.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories to her two children Ebonie Hunter (Newport News) and Quamayne Privott (of the home), five stepchildren; Sabrina Williams (Elizabeth City), Tasha Hunter (Durham), James Figgs (Elizabeth City), Autavious Figgs (Elizabeth City), and Chris Helmick, her loving brothers; Carless Wilson (Tyner) and Lonnie Wilson (Raleigh), her loving mother and stepfather; Bernice and Sam Eason (Tyner), a host of uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with her very special friends; Jackie Figgs, Aisha Parks, Lavanda Stepney and Pam Wilson.

 Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 24, 2019 at 2:00pm at Blanchard's Grove Baptist Church.  The family will receive members of the community and friends on Friday, August 23, 2019 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in the Kee Family Cemetery.
