Isaac Lee Riddick of Sunbury, NC was born on May 4, 1948, to the late Mary and Meredith Riddick. He departed this life on Friday, September 3, 2021. He joined St. John AME Zion Church at an early age. He loved the Lord and served faithfully on the Trustee Board, Leaders of Leaders, President of the Usher Board, Men’s Ministry, and sung in the Men’s Choir. One of his favorite songs was “Fix It Jesus”.
Isaac was employed as a truck driver driving tractor trailer trucks for 49 years. He drove for Robert Hollowell and other trucking companies. He also completed the certification program for Mechanics at College of the Albemarle in Elizabeth City, NC.
Isaac’s brothers and sisters who preceded him in death are: George W. Riddick, Sunbury, NC, James V. Riddick, Suffolk, VA, Florine Field, Gates, NC, Meredith Riddick, Jr., Suffolk, VA, Ester Wilson, Sunbury, NC, Viola Crews, Jamaica, NY, and Annie McCoy, NY.
Isaac leaves to cherish a legacy of love and everlasting memories to his devoted wife of 50 years, Joyce Riddick; two sons, Antonio Riddick (Shelia) of Gates, NC and Anthony Riddick (Sakinah) of Oak City, NC; two brothers, Edwin Riddick (Connie) of Richmond, VA and Ollie Riddick of Petersburg, VA; one sister, Selene Parker of Waverly, VA.
Isaac also cherished his grandchildren: Tanysha Riddick, Anthony Riddick, Jr., Mari-Lynn Picart, Lee Lewis, Jr., Ke’Naja Burns, Devona Walker, Khrie Rascoe, and Tevin Lewis.
Isaac also leaves seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
He will truly be missed……..
A viewing and visitation will take place Friday September 10, 2021 from 3-6pm.
And a celebration of life will take place Saturday September 11, 2021 11am Graveside at St. John AME Zion Church Sunbury, NC.
