JACQUELINE R. GRANT

Jacqueline was born September 13, 1949 to the late Edward and Lottie Riddick. She departed this life on Tuesday, September 1, 2020. She joined St. John A.M.E. Zion Church at a very early age. She loved the Lord and served faithfully on the Stewardess Board.

Jacqueline met and married Roger W. Grant and moved to Washington, D.C. There she worked at the Navel Base. To their union, two daughters were born, Janet Grant (Wallace) and Roxanne Grant (Michael) both of Portsmouth, Virginia.

Later in life, Jacqueline moved back to Sunbury, NC and was employed at Planters in Suffolk, Virginia.

Preceding her in death are her brothers, Reverend Edward H. Riddick, and Leroy Riddick; and sisters, Dorothy Johnson and Belinda Butler.

Along with her daughters, Jacqueline leaves precious memories to her sister, Joyce Riddick (Isaac) and brother, Donny Riddick , both of Sunbury, NC; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren whom she loved dearly, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday September 5, 2020 at St. John AME Zion Church.  The family will receive friends and members of the community on Friday September 4, 2020 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at the funeral home.
