Jacqueline Elizabeth Cross-Parker, also known as Pokey, was born on July 17,1961, in Franklin, Virginia, to the late Lawrence Earl and Cora Lee Porter-Cross.
She attended Gates County Public School System and was a member of the Class of 1985.
She worked for Perdue Farms for 25 years until her health declined and she retired.
She is proceeded in death by both parents, Lawrence and Cora Lee Cross, sister Felicia Cross and brother Marcus Cross. Father and mother in laws Robert (Margaret) Parker and Erma Lee Parker, brother in law Curtis Parker, and nieces Gail Crouch and Shawnequa Cross, and grandson, Deonte Harrell.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her forever person and husband Robert H. Parker. Daughter Yvonne Cross (RaKeem Sr), sons Emery (Amy) Cross, Robert Cross, and Chris (Rochelle) Cross. Step mother Loretta D. Cross. Brothers Lawrence (Ella Jean) Cross, Jerome Cross, and Philip (Donna) Porter. Sisters, Jennifer Cross, Zita (Brian) Jackson, and Stephanie (Fred) Belyea. 16 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; sister in laws, Phyllis Parker, Erica Wiggins, Connie (Willie) Arline, Hilda (Barry) Rascoe, Linda Smith; uncle Floyd Cross, aunts Madge Porter and Emmaline Ballard. God-daughter Alronda Hathaway, adopted daughter Tawanda Hill. Special Friend Margaret Cook, best friend/cousin Brenda Lee Parker, daughters in love Chrisey Hoggard and Tangeler Reid, nieces, nephews Perdue family, Ahoskie and Gates County family and friends.
A viewing and visitation will take place on Friday January 12, 2024, at St. John Community Christian Church in Eure from 4pm to 7pm.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday January 13, 2024, 1pm at Upper Room Assembly Church.
Final resting place will be at St. John Community Church Cemetery in Eure, NC.
