Joan White, 42 of 10 Cooper Rd, Sunbury, NC was born on October 14, 1975 in Suffolk, VA. She transitioned from this life and entered eternal rest on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Clifton White and the late Carrie White.
She was educated in the public schools of Gates County. She enhanced her spiritual growth and development while attending and becoming a member of New Piney Wood Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Drumhill. She had been employed as a Veterinarian Assistant at the animal hospital in Corapeake.
She leaves to cherish her memory: one daughter Camysha Rorie; two sisters, Aretha “Nikki” Earls (Stan) of Corapeake and Danyell Knight(Michael) of Sunbury. Her sisters at heart, Angela Harrison (Anthony), Tara Barrett (Kevin) and Wanda White. Seven brothers at heart, George Baker (Edna), Bobby Baker, Tyrone Baker (Faye), James White Jr., Curtis White Jr., Calvin White and Derrick White. Four nieces, Bryanna Earls, Darynn Earls, Daryanna Earls, and Lakenya Smith and two nephews Travonte Smith and Jaijuan Boone. Two great nephews, Alexander Holloway, Jr. and Nolan Holloway; her grandfather Edward Dildy, and the daughter of her heart, Alaysia Harrell and a host of aunts, uncle, cousin and friends

The family will receive friends on Friday June 15, 2018 at the funeral home from 4:00pm-7:00pm.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday June 16, 2018 at New Piney Wood Chapel Baptist Church at 1:00pm. Her final resting place will be in the church cemetery.
