Joseph Barron Obituary

Joseph Adrian Barron, son of the late Frances K. Riddick and the late Joe Henry Riddick, was born on November 28, 1973 and departed this life for his heavenly home on Sunday, March 29, 2020.

Joseph was born and raised in Gates County, NC where he attended Gates County Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1992. After graduating high school Joseph moved to Raleigh, NC where he attended and graduated from St. Augustine University, Class of 1997, obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice.

He was a case worker in the mental health field before deciding to drive trucks for ABC Supplies, Joseph later moved to Charlotte, NC. Joseph had a heart of gold, if you met him once he was your friend forever. He never met a stranger, he loved and was loved by his friends, family, and his two baby girls. There wasn’t anything that he wouldn’t do to see them smile.

Joseph leaves to cherish his memories two daughters, Blannie Eure of Eure, NC, and C’miya Williams of Raleigh, NC; one sister, Janice Knight-White(Reginald) of Belvidere, NC; one brother, JulianBarron, of Laurel, MD; three nephews, Adrian Knight, Jay White, and Antwon White; two nieces, Asia White, Anita White; grandmother, Sue Riddick; five aunts, Nettie Lassiter, Lillian Briggs, Erma Lamb, Robin Boone, and Adelle Baker; two great aunts, Mary Eason, and Francis Lee Goodman; two uncles, Milton Riddick, and Oscar Riddick; one great uncle, Thomas Hall; one great, great uncle Thomas Riddick; three cousins that were like sisters to him, Sonya Knight, Carla Briggs, and Trina Alloway; and a companion Carrie O’Brien; a best friend Keith Patterson; and an entire host of other family and friends from Gates County to Raleigh.

His life was full of family and friends, love and laughter, and it is with heavy but joyful hearts that we surrender him now to the arms of the heavenly father to be with his mother and father. We love you Joseph, we will miss you, and we know we’ll see you again someday.
