Larry Harrell was born on March 21, 1959, in Hertford County, NC to the late Malachi and Marie Whitaker Harrell. Larry transitioned to his Heavenly home on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at his home in Suffolk, Virginia.
Larry attended Hertford County Public Schools. Larry worked as a Heavy Machine Operator for over 40 years. After he retired, he spent much of his time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by five siblings: Gladys Baker, Shirley Harrell, Marie Bond, Edward Harrell, and Thomas Harrell.
Larry leaves to cherish his memories to his two daughters, Jessica Harrell of Suffolk, Virginia and Sirena Harrell-Guthrie (Timothy) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; eight grandchildren: Jahiem Harrell, Davon Bazemore, Jadai Harrell, Jacelyn Harrell, Dajah Harrell, Maricus Harrell, Timia Guthrie, Timothy Guthrie, Jr.; four great-grandchildren, Kairo Harrell, Shamari Harrell, Shameria Harrell, and Xavier Lawson; his siblings two sisters, Gloria (Dean) Norman of Chesapeake, Va, Linda Harrell of Woodbridge, Va, five brothers; Melvin Harrell (Beverly) of Richmond, Va, Willie Harrell (Diane) of Harrellsville, NC, Michael Harrell of Virginia Beach, Va, Eugene Harrell (Rosa) of Hobbsville, NC, Bobby Harrell (Beulah) of Harrellsville, NC; sisters- in- law, Lenora Harrell and Johnnie Harrell, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
A viewing and visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2025, from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at the funeral home.
A celebration of Life service will take place on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 11:00 am at Upper Room Assembly Church.
Final Resting place for Larry will be at his home church, Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Harrellsville, NC
