Leon “Peter” Riddick was born September 26, 1942, to the late Jerome and Sally Erma Riddick of Gates County. He attended school in Gates County and was a tremendous help to his father and brothers on the farm.
He loved talking about the Lord, praying, singing and creating his own original songs. He was the seventh child of eight children. Later in his journey, he left Gates County and resided in Windsor, NC where he was a resident at Solid Foundation. He loved the staff and enjoyed the activities that were given. He departed this life at ECU Health in Windsor, NC. on November 14, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his brother Thurman Riddick, and three sisters, Bertha Riddick, Martha Ann Goodman, and Ethelene Moore.
He leaves to cherish his memories are his two brothers: Joe Ernest Riddick of Murfreesboro, NC; James T. Riddick, Sr (Annie) of Gatesville, NC; and sister, Erma Lee Riddick-Lane of Cofield, NC and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
A viewing and visitation will take place on Friday November 22, 2024, at the funeral home from 4pm to 7pm.
A celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday November 23, 2024, 1pm at Community of Hope Funeral Service Chapel.
