Liza Ann Eason, daughter of the late William L. and Ollie K. Eason was born February 20, 1966 in Hobbsville, North Carolina. She departed her earthly life on July 11, 2023 at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, Virginia.
Liza was educated in the public schools of Gates County and was a proud graduate of Gates County Class of 1984. She furthered her education at Elizabeth City State University in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Additionally, she studied cosmetology at The Suffolk Beauty Academy in Suffolk, Virginia.
For many years she was gainfully employed at George C. Moore in Edenton, North Carolina. Later, she was a substitute teacher and a bus driver in the Gates County School System.
Liza joined Joppa Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and remained an active member until her demise.
Liza was a very quiet and loving person to family and friends. She did not hesitate to help or assist anyone in need. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and a devoted grandmother, who was known as “NaNa Liza” to her three grandbabies.
In addition to her parents, Liza was preceded in death by three brothers: William Eason, Louis Eason, and Samuel Eason; and a sister, Lois Eason.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, one daughter, Treana A. Boone (Alexis Deon Arline); three grandchildren, Zion Boone, Zakari Arline, and Zaire Arline; one sister, Alice Eason of Sunbury, North Carolina; six brothers, Hallet Eason and Alfred Eason both of Sunbury, North Carolina, Harry Eason of Hobbsville, North Carolina, Donald Eason of Tyner, North Carolina, Charles Eason of Hertford, North Carolina, and Willie Eason of Waterbury, Connecticut; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends.
A viewing and visitation will take place on Saturday July 15, 2023, at the funeral home from 4pm-7pm
A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday July 16, 2023, 2pm at Joppa Missionary Baptist Church in Hobbsville, NC.
Final resting place for our beloved Liza will be at the Kee Family Cemetery.
