Louis Elijah Elliott departed this life on Monday, July 31, 2023, in Sunbury, NC. He was born October 5, 1939, in Tyner, NC. (Chowan County). He was the eighth child of twelve children.
Louis joined the Greater Welch’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of Rev. Davis. Louis lived and attended Chowan County School System. Louis loved to play baseball and his position was first base. He could hit and dance while waiting for the ball to be thrown to him. He loved to play horseshoes, crossword puzzles, and any type of card game was his thing. During his lifetime you may have seen him visiting his hometown of Chowan County visiting family members, pulling watermelon, or on occasion at the river getting fish.
Louis was a cool uncle who enjoyed dancing, especially doing James Brown. Back in the day, he wore a process hairstyle which he was a bad cat. He loved to look sharp. During his lifetime you would always see him spending time together with his brothers and family members. As time changed, we knew he would be with his card friends.
