Nicholas T. Rodgers, 41 of Aurora, NC departed this life on Friday, June 4, 2021 in New Bern, NC. He was born on February 14, 1980 in Ahoskie, NC to John E. Rodgers, Jr. and Dorothy M. Rodgers.
He was a faithful member of St. James Missionary Church of Virginia Beach, Va., under the presiding Bishop Sidney L. Davis and Pastor Barbara Davis. He served as an usher and enjoyed fellowshipping with everyone.
Nicholas was proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents, Thomas E. Moody and Alberta Moody and his paternal grandparents, Elisha Rodgers and Venezuela Rodgers.
My Valentine (as his mother would call him) leaves to cherish his wonderful and loving memories: his spouse, Jeffery Bell of South Carolina; his father, John E. Rodgers, Jr., of Murfreesboro,
NC; his mother, Dorothy M. Rodgers of Murfreesboro, NC; three brothers, Dexter (Tushonda) of Woodland, NC, Elder John (Pastor Connie), Michael (LaShawnda); two sisters, Phyllis Flood (Adam), Tameaka Knight; four aunts, five uncles, ten nieces, ten nephews, a special extension of love, Pepa Escade and family, a host of cousins, friends, and other relatives.
The family will receive members of the community on Friday, June 11, 2021 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the funeral home. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 11:00 am at Ballard's Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Rodgers will be laid to rest at the Rodger's Family Cemetery, 534 Pinetops Road, Murfreesboro, NC 27855.
