Rebecca V Blakes

Rebecca Blake was born on January 14, 1964, in Suffolk, Virginia.  Though born in Virginia, she spent the entirety of her life in Washington, D.C. where she built a life rooted in love, resilience, and community.

On April 28, 2026, Rebecca peacefully transitioned from this life, surrounded by her loving family.  Her presence was a source of comfort and strength to those who knew her, and her memory will forever be cherished.

She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to live on through her family and all who were blessed to know her.  Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will remain in the hearts of those who loved her.

A viewing and visitation will take place on May 14, 2026, at 10am at Temple of Praise Church in Washington, DC

Promptly at 11am the Celebration of Life service will begin.

Following the service, Rebecca earthly remains and her adored family will be escorted to Gates, North Carolina for a graveside service on Saturday May 16, 2026, 11am at Crosstown Family Cemetery in Gates, NC.
