Ruth Bailey

Ruth Bailey, the daughter of the late Lucille Jordan and Grant Brooks of Wilson, NC., was born on May 16, 1931. Ruth was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System. Ruth loved to travel, and she lived in many areas of the United States.  She was born in Wilson NC, and she lived in numerous other parts of the country, Philadelphia PA, New Jersey, Baltimore MD, Sacramento CA and finally she moved to Maryland where she resided until her passing.

 Ruth enjoyed singing and making ceramics.  She was a very stylish woman in her youth, she loved to dress well.  Ruth’s career choice was that of a dietician.  She enjoyed serving people. 

Ruth was married to the late Rudolph “Rudy” Bailey, from this union no children were born.  Ruth departed this life on March 26, 2021 in Upper Marlboro MD. 

She leaves to cherish her memory her Cousins: Doris (Walter) Payne of Bowie MD; Joyce (Herbert) Thomas of Accokeek MD; Barbara Cartledge of Waldorf MD; Yvonne (Kevin) Dorsey of Waldorf MD and a host of other cousins and friends.

A graveside service to honor the life of Ms. Bailey will take place on April 7, 2021 at 11:00am at Heritage Cemetery in Waldorf, Md.
