God in His infinite wisdom called Ruth Ann Spruill Eaton to her heavenly home on Tuesday, March 15, 2022.
Ruth or “Ann”, as she was affectionately known was born on December 1, 1957 to William Earl Spruill and the late Ruth Hathaway Spruill.
She attended Gates County Public Schools and graduated from Gates County High School with a diploma. She went on to further her education at College of the Albemarle where she received her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. She was inducted into the Honors Society for her outstanding accomplishments.
Upon finishing high school, Ann started her career at Perdue Farms where she later met her husband (Stepping Easy as he was called). Steve won her heart with his charm and his clean Monte Carlo. Once she left Perdue Farms, she found her passion for children and from there she began to truly grow and shine. Ann worked for Touched by an Angel Daycare for some time before transitioning to New Beginnings Daycare.
Ann was a member of Restoration Worship Center of Eure, NC where she enjoyed serving the Lord and serving in any area that she was needed. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also enjoyed singing, praising God, and taking family trips.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her buddy, her partner, the love of her life, Steve Eaton of the home; two sons, Travis Spruill (Sharita) of Atlanta, GA and Stephen Watson of Windsor, NC; two daughters: Schnell Riddick of Gates, NC, and Shanese Harrell (William) of Eure, NC; five grandchildren: Jaiden Spruill, Stephon Watson, Madison Wilson, Lailah Spruill and Gianna Harrell.
She is also survived by two sisters: Phyliss Dent (Jeffery) of Gatesville, NC and Deborah Williams (Mark) of Rich Square, NC, one brother: William M. Spruill of Raleigh, NC, three nieces: Tiffany Dent of Greenville, NC, Terresa Lucas (DaJuan) and Tangela Dent both of Charlotte, NC; two nephews: Antoine Spruill of Birmingham, AL and Jeffery Dent, Jr., of Gatesville, NC; a host of loving sisters-in-law, brothers-in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
