Samuel Eason Departed His Life On Monday, March 30, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 5, 1955 to the late William and Ollie Kee Eason. Samuel was preceded in death by his daughter Hilda Figgs son-in-law James Figgs, and 3 siblings Louis, Lois, and William.
After graduating from Gates County High School, he went to work at the Shipyard for Tennico. After working there, he enlisted in the Army. After serving in the Army for 4 years, he went to work at Hofler & Sons. After working there for a length of time, he started working for CA Perry and Sons and worked there until his death. Samuel was also a Volunteer Fire Fighter for Chowan County for 20 years.
He leaves to cherish his memories; his loving, devoted wife of 42 years, Bernice W. Eason, of the home. Two sons; Lonnie Wilson of Raleigh, NC, Carless Wilson of Tyner, NC. Two sisters; Alice Lassiter and Liza Eason both of Sunbury, NC. Six brothers; Wille Eason of Waterbury, CT, Alfred Eason, Harry Eason, Hallet (Pat) all of Sunbury, NC, Charles Eason of Hertford, NC, Donald Eason of Tyner, NC Three sisters-in-laws Audrey Pretlow Eason of Hobbsville, NC, Naomie Riddick of Belvidere, NC, and Classie Saunders of Elizabeth City, NC. Ten grandchildren; Ebonie Hunter, Quamayne Privott, Carlos Jordan, Lonnie Wilson, Chiquita Wilson, Tandra Saddler, Quachdanra Wilson, Brandy Brantley, Lonisha Wilson, De`Meka Wilson. Twenty-one great grandchildren and one great-great grand child as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
