Thomas L. Knight, Jr,

Thomas Knight, Jr., was born June 1, 1957, to the late Thomas L. Knight, Sr. and Mary Louise Jernigan Knight.

Thomas was a dedicated employee at Birdsong Peanuts, Suffolk, Va for 28 years, where he worked faithfully and took pride in doing his job well. Known for his willingness to lend a helping hand, he never hesitated to assist anyone in need. Whether it was a coworker, friend, or neighbor, he found joy in being helpful and making life a little easier for others.

Left to cherish his memories is his mother, Mary Louise Jernigan Knight of Florida, stepmother, Louise B. Knight of Gates, NC; life partner, Ester Eure; children, Tyquine Wilson (Antoinette) of Atlanta, GA, Kesha Smith (Cory) of Suffolk, Va and stepdaughter, Danielle Jones (Clarence) of Rochester, NY; grandchildren, Jaylyn Smith Watson (Justin) of Winston Salem, NC, Cory Smith, Jr. of Suffolk, Va, Tyheem Freeman of Atlanta, GA, Juwel Wilson, of Atlanta, GA, Kyrie Wilson of Atlanta, GA; great grandchild, Keagan Smith of Suffolk, Va; brothers, Barian Knight of Gates, NC and Bruce Knight of Florida,  along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

Family and friends are invited to join in honoring and remembering his life.

A viewing and visitation will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026, from 3:00pm until 6:00pm at the funeral home for a time of reflection with the family.

A celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday at 12:00 noon at Restoration Worship Center.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and devotion that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
