Tracy Taylor Obituary

Tracy DeAndre Taylor; the son of Larry D. and Brenda Parks was born on March 5, 1972. He departed his earthly life on August 6, 2021. Tracy had a very outstanding personality. To know him was to love him. He was indeed a “one of a kind” type of guy. Tracy loved to see others happy. He always had something to say that would cause you to laugh. Indeed, he was our family comedian. He was employed by Budd Group.

Tracy attended Edenton Chowan School and graduated from John A. Holmes High School in 1990. After graduating, he joined the U.S. Navy where he served four years. After returning home from the Navy, Tracy moved to Newport News, Va; where he met Angela Ross and decided to take her as his bride.

Left to cherish his precious memories are his parents: Larry and Brenda T. Parks of Edenton, NC; his wife, Angela Ross Taylor, Charlotte, NC; five children: Najah Taylor, Tracy Taylor, Jr., Tramere Taylor, Jairius Taylor and Trayvon Taylor all of Charlotte, NC; three grandchildren: Rylee Taylor-Bethea, Nalanni Allen, and Cairo Allen; two brothers: Stan Parks, Salisbury, NC and Trevor Gatling, Gates, NC; one step sister, Tonia Walton, Tyner, NC; three aunts: Elector Hurdle, Tyner, NC, Pearl Riddick (Bill) and Ann Griffin (Edgar) both of Elizabeth City, NC; uncles: Oliver Parks (Doris), Calvin Parks (Pearlie) both of Edenton, NC, Melvin Parks (Paulette), Ricky Parks (Mary), and Marvin Parks (Promise), all of Tyner, NC; five special cousins: Kita Riddick, Tyra Hurdle, Travis Jordan, Keisha Jordan, and T’sha Riddick; a very special friend and constant companion, Tisha Sinclair, Charlotte, NC; and countless numbers of extended family and friends who also have memories to cherish.

.A viewing and visitation will take place on Saturday August 14, 2021 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at the funeral home.  A celebration of life will be held on Sunday August 15, 2021 at 1:00pm at Greater Welch Baptist Church.  Mr. Taylor's final resting place will be at the Greater Welch Cemetery.
