With hearts filled with both sorrow and gratitude, the family of Mrs. Wilhma Winslow announces her peaceful transition from this life on May 28, 2026. Having been blessed with 101 years of life, Mrs. Winslow leaves behind a remarkable legacy of faith, love, strength, and grace.
Born on February 4, 1925, in Perquimans County, North Carolina, Wilhma was the beloved daughter of the late Elnora and John Billups. She was born and raised in the close-knit community she loved and called home throughout her life. Known for her warm smile, gentle spirit, and unwavering kindness, she touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Through more than a century of history, she witnessed countless changes in the world while remaining a constant source of wisdom, encouragement, and love to generations of family and friends. Mrs. Winslow made a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.
While her family mourns the loss of their beloved matriarch, they find comfort in knowing that her long and well-lived life was a blessing and that her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved.
The family would be honored by your presence and support during a time of remembrance on Thursday June 11, 2026, at the funeral home from 3pm to 6pm. Family and friends are invited to come and share their love, prayers, and memories as they celebrate the extraordinary life of Mrs. Wilhma Winslow.
A celebration of Life for a beautiful life well lived will take place on Friday June 12, 2026, 11am at Bay Branch AME Zion Church in Belvidere, NC.
Final resting place for Mrs. Winslow will be at the Cedarwood Cemetery in Hertford, NC
