William Holley, Jr Obituary

William P. Holley Jr. departed this earthly life and entered his eternal home with the Heavenly Father on Sunday evening, March 7, 2021.

He was born in Edenton, North Carolina on December 4, 1973 to William and Alice Holley Sr.  William P. Holley Jr. was affectionately called W.P.  William was a graduate of Gates County High school.  He will be remembered for always having a smile on his face.  If you didn’t have a smile, he would give you his.

William was always dressed to the nine.  He was unique, “not a swag” in his wife’s words.  He will be missed by all of his family and friends.

William was a dedicated Veteran serving our county in the United States Army for ten years.  He later retired from Greyhound and during his employment he received an appreciation award for 10 years of dedicated service.  He would go the last mile to assist you in any way he could.  W.P. your smile and presence will be greatly missed! But God knows best!

His maternal grandparents, William Essac Eason (Maude) and paternal grandparents, Wadell Holley (Pantsy) preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his precious wife Wanda P. Holley of Gates NC., his children: Jermaine Holley, Jahlil Holley, Jarmare Holley, Ravon Riddick, Raymon Riddick, Gates, NC., Jayla Riddick, Norfolk, VA., parents: William and Alice Holley Sr., Gates County, NC.; Sisters: Tess Holley, Gates, NC., Louise Nixon (Ivan), Norfolk, VA.,  aunts and uncles: Donnelle Stokley (John), Frances Jordan, Bernice Eason, Donald Holley (Avis) Elizabeth City, NC., Ponacha Kim Eason, Charlotte, NC., Katrina Rogers (Butch), Suffolk, VA., Richard Holley (Edith), Ronald Jean Holley, Gates, NC., Debbie Holley, Texas, grandchildren: Legacy Brown, Kyro Brown, Naudia Stallings, nieces and nephews; Dazia Leary, Khalil Leary, Kevonte Leary, Miles Nixon, Madison Nixon, Alaexis Nixon, Tamia Nixon, Cameron Nixon, Asia Nixon, Zyire Leary, and Kailyn Leary.
